WORKSHOP: HAND PIECING AND
BEGINNERS’ NEEDLE-TURN APPLIQUÉ

On Friday March 14th, 2025, Rita Verroca will offer a workshop that will teach Hand Piecing and Beginners’ Needle-Turn Appliqué. Skinny stems? Yes, that will be covered. All you will need to bring are sewing supplies — no machines! The pattern and material kit are included.

A light lunch will be provided: Soup, salad, water and tea. There is a full kitchen complete with a refrigerator, oven and microwave available. Bring a treat to share if you wish!

Registration Dates:
Open NOW for QU MEMBERS for $25.
Opens Feb. 1, 2025 for Friendship Star Quilters for $30.
Opens to the public Feb. 15, 2025 for $35. 
Class size is limited.

Rita Verroca is an internationally acclaimed appliqué artist. She lives in Colonial Beach, Virginia and teaches around the globe. She has won several AQS awards, her quilts have been on magazine covers and she has written a book Baltimore Album of Roses. Check out her historic blocks on her website. These blocks are a true work of art-as are the many quilts she has produced.
