The theme for the 2011 Opportunity Quilt was “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend”. Linda Dozier was the 2011 Opportunity Quilt Chair.
This quilt, titled “Fractured Facets,” features 110 paper pieced diamond blocks, each containing two different fabrics, one light and one dark. Color placement of the diamonds forms a secondary diamond pattern within the body of the quilt. Hand quilted borders in a feather and swirl design, offsetting and complimenting the angular lines of the diamonds.
