At 11 AM: “Quilts, Vintage and Modern”  with Peggy Allen & Sue Isaac from Quilters Unlimited of  Tallahassee
“Quilts, Vintage and Modern,”  a presentation of heirloom quilts and talk about traditional styles and modern quilts from members of Quilters Unlimited of Tallahassee who have been promoting interest in the art of quilting since 1981:  https://QuiltTallahassee.com.   Questions and interactions from the audience are encouraged.

At 1 PM:   “Quilting Techniques” with Sheila Callahan
Sheila, whose work is hand-pieced and hand-quilted, will talk about several of her outstanding quilts on display, including an embellished Victorian Crazy Quilt, and a beautiful quilt dedicated to the Ukrainian People… and others.   Sheila has been quilting for over 50 years and she will share from her extensive experience on specific types of quilts and techniques, with questions and interactions encouraged from the audience.

  • plan to visit the sale of quilts by Wendy Adams and her crew of area quilters sponsored by Havana MainStreet at the corner of Hwy 27 and 7th Avenue East.
  • enjoy the many Havana shops, coffee shops, restaurants (six choices in the downtown area), and adult beverage options.
  • And visit the updated “Historic Havana” exhibit at the Museum (no admission charge, but donations are encouraged)
